This is the perfect course for you if you are about to bring a new puppy into your life or have just brought one to join your family.
Socialisation is so often misunderstood and is so easy to get wrong.
Early experiences shape your puppy’s emotional blueprint so it’s important to set them up for success from the very beginning. They learn what is safe and enjoyable as well as what is scary and should be avoided. In order to help our puppies to develop into confident, resilient adult dogs, we need to ensure that we are careful with how we introduce them to new experiences.
You will learn:
- What socialisation actually is
- How puppies learn
- Introducing a collar and harness
- Understanding body language
- Socialisation opportunities
- How to do it correctly and safely
- Safe introductions for children
- How to introduce the resident dog(s)
- How to introduce the resident cat(s)
This course is taken via Zoom and consists of 3 private sessions (An in-person session can be added on at an extra cost).
